Taking Responsibility &
Making Good Choices
Teaching responsibility and empowering children to make good choices helps them better understand how their actions affect others, own their mistakes, and do what's right even when it's difficult. In turn, they build integrity and earn trust.
However, it can be challenging for children to learn these decision making skills, especially when emotions run high, they feel defensive about mistakes or peer pressure, or the right choice isn't obvious. This isn't a sign of bad character—these are developing skills that strengthen with practice, guidance, and the right support.
Through activities and coaching, BIGFeels NYC helps children across New York City develop their capacity to take ownership of their actions, make ethical choices, and stand up for what's fair.
